This expression is widely used in card games real casinos and online portals with gambling entertainment. But most often the phrase is used in club poker. 

Description

Community Cards – Cards that can be used by all the participants.

For example, in Texas hold'em, community cards consist of a flop (the first three cards on the table), Terna (the fourth card) and Rivera (the fifth card).
